An audiovisual piece, weaving a romance between a knight and a dragon in the mountains of Blanca, Murcia. Here, battle surrenders to desire. By filling the cup of the sword’s hilt with cherry blossoms as a love offering, the blade transforms into a gathering vessel.
To hold the overflowing botanicals (now reimagined through Ursula K. Le Guin’s Carrier Bag Theory) movement must inherently adapt. The weapon can no longer pierce, cut, or wound; to cradle and sustain, gestures become soft, circular, and ornamental. Thus, combat gives way to intimacy, establishing an affectionate bond with the vessel-object.
