These fragile gauntlets elevate rather than shield human vulnerability. Formed by transparent, heat-sensitive shells, they expose an inner skin of rose petals inscribed with words of desire and revolution. Named after Alejandra Pizarnik’s Poem 23, the work centers on the rose as a motif of non-binary resistance found in both medieval history and Magical Girl narratives.

Reinterpreting the legend of Sant Jordi through poet María-Mercè Marçal’s lens, the dragon represents alterity, and the rose growing from its blood becomes a symbol of survival against normative violence. Held together by steel supports, these gauntlets form an unarmored, extravagant casing for a fragmented body: a tender shell for a non-binary mythology.
